ABORTED Launches 'Slaughter and Apparatus TV'
April 12, 2007Belgian masters of brutality ABORTED are launching a new MySpace and YouTube video series titled Slaughter and Apparatus TV, giving back something special to their fans by letting them vote for what they want to see and know about the band.
Sven De Caluwe (vocals) comments on the series: "The concept for Slaughter and Apparatus TV is simple. We will make various episodes, and you, the fans, get to vote what you want to see/know about the band. The first episode will be about drums. For those interested, our new drummer, Dan Wilding, will shoot a video of himself playing one of the following three songs: 'The Chondrin Enigma', 'Gestated Rabidity' and 'The Saw and The Carnage Done'. Dan will then go through the song chosen by the fans and explain the techniques he uses. We will count answers to our blog on our MySpace page along with the responses to the poll in our official forum. This is made for you guys so we hope you like the results.
"In other news, we just got back from a crazy weekend and quite insane show in Copenhagen, which apparently has had some rioting/protesting on the streets for the past month. The city was pretty much flooded with cops (we fortunately evaded any cavity searches) and it all seemed a bit strange to us, but things were fine. However, after a pretty damn cool show at Stengade 30, we suddenly heard a big fucking bang upon leaving the club. Apparently, a bomb went off two streets away from the club, resulting in a shitload of cops blocking off the area with tons of smoke and fire everywhere. It was quite interesting. The funny things is that we have been to Israel/Tel Aviv countless times, yet it's in friggin' Denmark that something has to explode next to us. Ironic, to say the least."
ABORTED recently launched an e-card for its new album, "Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture", at this location. The e-card features the group's striking new video for the track "The Chondrin Enigma". The CD was released on February 20 via Century Media Records.
